Today is the Veterans’ Day

28.04.2023

Today in Estonia, Veterans Day is celebrated by raising the national flag at sunrise, with which we thank and recognize those men and women who have strengthened Estonia’s security and international credibility in military operations far from home, as well as their families and loved ones.

Since 2014, Veterans Day has been officially flag day, so the Defense Forces invites all people to raise national flags at their homes today to show support for the veterans of the Defense Forces and the Defense League.

The veterans of the Defense Forces and the Defense League include more than 3,400 people.

Several different events will take place on this year’s Veterans Day:

✿ On 23.04.2023 at 12:00 a.m., a service will be held in the Estonian soldiers’ memorial church in Tori.
